Tips Maintenance Network Cable
Before starting the installation of UTP cable, the standard used to identify the necessary cables. Choose one type, T-568A or T-568B. Both cable types have similar characteristics but different pin arrangement and use.
- If you intend to add a connection to the existing network, first identify what standards have been used and follow the standards.
- Always working closely with the following labor standards and safety.
- Do not mix cable types T and T-568A-568B in the project or the same network.
- Do not bend, squeeze or roll UTP cable by force.
- Follow the rules of the cable winding minimum radius specifications from the manufacturer.
- Cables and connectors are always treated well.
- Always use the proper tools and quality when making krimping UTP cable.
- Always keep the wire pairs remain twisted as close as possible well with the end blocks, jacks or connectors.
- Do not use cables, blocks, or a connector with a lower quality than the quality required for the system.
- Do not place the UTP cable near power cables, fluorescent lights or other sources of electrical interference.
- Always use the topology "star" or "end-run" by designing each endpoint is connected back to a central point, blocks, switches, routers, or other.
- Do not ever make a "daisy-chain" with UTP cable connecting more than one endpoint in a single cable.
- Do not pull the cable UTP by using violence. Loose with the proper connector / jack before removing the cable from the switch, block or slot connector.
- Do not pull so that the UTP cable to loosen or even forced out of the connector.
